The PAL-12S is designed for measuring dextran. The PAL-12S is water resistant (rated at IP65), so clean up of viscous samples can be done easily by placing the instrument under running water. This refractometer is light & compact, only 100g. It is ergonomically designed for one-handed operation. The speedy performance of the PAL-12S is amazing.
